The Yogi Crowe Memorial Scholarship Fund's endowment is managed by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina (CFWNC). The Community Foundation is experienced in accepting a broad range of assets as charitable contributions including:

Cash

Publicly traded securities

Privately held securities

Real estate

Other types of real property including art and jewelry

Savings bonds

Life insurance

Other than cash gifts, each of the above assets has special gift acceptance considerations for the donor and the Scholarship Fund. CFWNC is happy to assist donors who might want to consider one of the types of gifts to benefit the Richard (Yogi) Crowe Memorial Scholarship Fund. Questions may be directed to Sheryl L. You can contribute to the Richard (Yogi) Crowe Scholarship Fund and help enrolled members obtain graduate education without it costing you a penny. If you grocery shop at any Food Lion grocery store, you may earn money for the scholarship fund with every dollar that you spend. All you have to do is sign up via the Food Lion Shop and Share program.

It is simple and easy. You just go to the Food Lion website at www.foodlion.com and click on “Lion Shop and Share.” Follow the instructions to register your Food Lion MVP card. Then every time you use your MVP card the Scholarship Fund will receive a percentage of the purchase amount to be used for scholarship recipients.

If you would like someone from the Scholarship Fund to register your card, we would be glad to assist you. Just complete the following information and email (drrlb@hotmail.com) or postal mail to the Scholarship Fund at P. O. Box 892, Cherokee, NC 28719, and we will gladly register your MVP card for you.
